Shin Goji-chan (しんごじちゃん Shin Goji-chan?) is Kishida Shiki's series based on the Kemono Friends series and Shin Godzilla. The series was originally published on Pixiv and Nico Nico starting on August 7, 2017[1] and ended on December 9, 2018[2]. The next summer, a remake of the first chapter was released physically[3], then a year later digitally under a paywall[4], and finally it was all put on Twitter for free to celebrate Godzilla Day 2021[5]. The Pixiv account was later deleted, but the comic stayed on Nico Nico.
Synopsis[]
This comic takes place after the first season of the Kemono Friends anime and seems to contain the manga and game within its timeline as well, those two happening years before the anime. It is however still unknown whether or not the movie Shin Godzilla is part of this series' continuity.
This comic follows Kuro-chan, a newly born Friend based on the kaiju Shin Godzilla. She wandered Japari Park with seemingly no memories and speech like a wild animal until she is found by three Cerulean hunters. After she caused a bit of troubles, her new friends try to take her to the library where they may find out who and what she is.
