Rateror is a genetically engineered kaiju that appeared in Polaris Vs. Rateror by Shieldon.
History[]
Origins[]
Rateror used to be a normal honey badger at the time, until she was captured and tested on by an unknown company. Dr. Percy Darwin was involved and he was forced to collect samples of Godzilla's scales. After he was done collecting the scales, They then extracted Godzilla's genes from it and injected it into the honey badger, however since the genes had radioactive DNA, it caused her to gradually grow to gigantic dimensions. Rateror later broke out of the laboratory but was ultimately sedated and contained in order to prevent havoc on the city.
Polaris Vs. Rateror[]
After the intense battle between Titanus Polaris and Godzilla, a company was figuring out what animal would be compatible in order to defeat Polaris. One of the workers there said that a honey badger would be compatible due to their aggressive nature and tough loose skin. After the conversation, they later travelled to africa to find a honey badger. Once they had caught one, they sedated it in order to prevent attacks while travelling back to their laboratory. In the laboratory, Dr. Percy Darwin had collected the scales of Godzilla that was left behind during the previous battle, and after that, they extracted the genes from the scales, and due to the genes containing radioactive DNA, it caused her to grow substantially in size in a few minutes. The scientists watched in horror as the honey badger grew larger and larger until she broke out of the laboratory. The government soon found about this and quickly sedated the kaiju, now known as "Rateror", and then contained her to prevent wreaking havoc on the city. Before long, Titanus Polaris arrived at the city, knowing about this, the company released Rateror and sent her into a battle with Polaris. Building after building fell as both kaiju were battling at the face of the city, with the military concentrating its fire on Polaris. Rateror's aggressiveness and durability briefly gave her the upper advantage, though Polaris' raw power quickly turned the tables, as he bit Rateror on the neck and battered her using his tail. Eventually, their duel spilled out to the sea where Rateror was lured by Polaris and later drowned.
Appearance[]
Rateror is a giant female honey badger kaiju that has three long claws that she uses to slash her opponents. She has a fairly long body, but is distinctly thick-set and broad across the back. Her skin is remarkably loose, and allows her to turn and twist freely within it. She has a short tail and long yet stubby legs. Her skin is bluish grey on the bottom, but silver on the top.
Abilities[]
- Burrowing - Rateror is an adept burrower, and can quickly disappear and tunnel across great distances underground. Additionally, her burrowing triggers destructive earthquakes and can cause the ground above her to go unstable.
- Durability - Rateror, being a honey badger, has an incredibly tough skin that is also loose, allowing her to turn and twist freely within it. She could also turn around in it and bite her attacker.
- Claws - Rateror can use her remarkably long claws to slash her opponent in battle. In addition, she has long and strong arms which allows her to quickly grab her attacker and even throw it.
- Venom Immunity - While not demonstrated in the movie, Rateror has an unusually strong immunity to venom, and can resist multiple toxin from various venomous animals.
Weaknesses[]
- Aggressiveness - Rateror's unusually high aggressiveness and fearless nature can sometimes be her downfall, as Polaris lured her into the sea where he drowned as a result.
Trivia[]
- Rateror, while being aggressive and having a masculine appearance, is actually a female, and to avoid confusion, she is sometimes referred to as "Mellira".
