“ | I will see to it that your nemesis, and anyone foolish enough to walk alongside him, shall suffer a truly agonising death! | „ |
— Myos to Sepsis, Periodic Genesis: Dawn of Sepsis #24 |
Myos is a mutant muscular pathogen and a major antagonist in Periodic Genesis: Dawn of Sepsis, created by KoopaGalaxain. He is one of Sepsis's three subordinates.
Appearance[]
Myos is a bizarre creature, bearing the body of Godzilla with an extremely long neck and red skin. What appears to be one large eye is actually one of a pair of jaws that can open and close independently. Next to Myos's neck is a 'collar' made of two small tendrils that emerge from his shoulders.
As WZ-Myos, Myos bears a close resemblance to WeegeeZilla, but with bright red skin, a pale yellowish-green underbelly and a dull pink gemstone. WZ-Myos's jaw and teeth appear considerably more mangled in this form than in his standard form, and while he appears to have eyes, which are pale white, the same colour as his claws and dorsal plates, this is in fact a decoy, and Myos can reveal his upper jaw at any time to catch the opponent off-guard with a vicious bite.
Personality[]
Myos is an organism of absolutes, swinging between emotional states ranging from cool and calculating to hot-headed, bloodthirsty and seething with rage. Myos has a deep-seated inferiority complex, which means that he constantly strives to impress Sepsis, and is prone to flying into an explosive fury when outsmarted or outmatched by his opponents in battle.
History[]
Periodic Genesis: Dawn of Sepsis[]
Pre-Keratos Saga[]
Shortly after being created by Sepsis, Myos was tasked with killing the PGKs led by Caesium. He ambushed Germanium, Boron and Zinc, and as he prepared to kill them, Boron and Zinc were able to buy Germanium enough time to escape; though he would later be killed by Keratos instead, this inadvertently led to the creation of Germanium II from a surviving portion of Germanium's cells, as if Germanium had faced Myos, his body would have been destroyed entirely.
Keratos Saga[]
“ | No... let him die... you will soon get your chance... | „ |
— Myos |
Myos first appeared while WeegeeZilla was fighting Keratos, watching the battle from a cave deep underground. He was shown to be somewhat unstable, equally hoping and fearing for Keratos's death. Ultimately, Myos decided that if Keratos died, Sepsis would have to choose him next, and then his thirst for blood would be quenched.
Off-screen, Myos met with Sepsis, where he was informed that Keratos was close to death and had failed in his objective. Myos was then told by Sepsis that he would be called upon to eliminate any resistance to his plans.
Myos Saga[]

WZ-Myos's first appearance in Dawn of Sepsis, confronting WeegeeZilla in the wasteland near the site where Keratos was fought.
After giving Sepsis his word that he would succeed, Myos took on his WZ-Myos form, and went to the wasteland near where Keratos had been defeated. Catching WeegeeZilla off-guard, the two immediately began fighting. After WZ-Myos bit WeegeeZilla's arm, causing it to bleed violently, the latter realised just who he was facing!
Realising that Myos stood before him, WeegeeZilla had little time to act, as WZ-Myos began transforming, heralded by the appearance of his shoulder tendrils bursting out from the flesh underneath. Suddenly, WeegeeZilla's DNA revealed a new secret; after using Absorption Inheritance on Keratos, a small piece of the latter's DNA had been recombined into his own, granting him the ability to use a special version of Keratos's Scalpel Beam, dubbed the Super Scalpel Beam. Firing it towards WZ-Myos, the beam blasted the pathogen's head clear off its neck, spraying blood into the air.

Myos using his Regenerative Bloodstorm technique to reconstitute his body and transform into his Standard form.
“ | Finally, I'm free of that inferior form. I expected that it would be enough to kill you, but I was wrong. No matter... Foolish scientist... I'LL MAKE YOU REGRET EVER CHALLENGING LORD SEPSIS'S RULE! | „ |
— Myos, after transforming back into his Standard form |
With the battle seemingly over, WeegeeZilla crushed WZ-Myos's fake gemstone, only for WZ-Myos to dissolve into blood; Myos was still alive, and was using his Regenerative Bloodstorm technique to reconstruct his body into his Standard form! Myos immediately used his Paralytic Impulse to trap WeegeeZilla in place, then fired his Twin Jaw Beam straight through the scientist's body, critically wounding him.

Myos, bleeding violently after being hit with WeegeeZilla and Germanium II's Magnificent Mighty Strike combination attack.
However, Germanium II suddenly arrived, wearing pieces of Scalpel Keratos's armour, and managed to distract Myos long enough for WeegeeZilla to get back to his feet and regain his energy, and the fight resumed! Together, the two heroes used the Magnificent Mighty Strike on Myos, hitting him with enough force to make the mutant pathogen begin bleeding violently.
Enraged, Myos attempted to kill off Germanium II by using his Twin Jaw Beam to engulf the second-generation PGK in a gigantic explosion. Believing he had succeeded, Myos then locked WeegeeZilla in place using his Paralytic Impulse and began charging his Twin-Jaw Beam again, but was caught off guard by Germanium II's Potassium Chloride Ray, losing a huge portion of the right side of his body in the process.
Germanium II then interrogated Myos, revealing that he knew Myos had killed Boron and Zinc. When an unrepentant Myos taunted Germanium II over the deaths, Germanium II's fury reached its peak, allowing the spirit of Germanium to take control. In disbelief, Myos could only look on in disbelief as Germanium, using Germanium II's body, paralysed Myos's ability to draw energy from the environment, rendering him unable to attack. He then began screaming in terror as the PGK unleashed his Germanium Maelstrom, reducing the pathogen's body to ashes which blew on the wind.

Myos, immediately after transforming into his new form, Rhabdomyos.
“ | Khhh... This form is very unstable. It feels like I'm on the verge of tearing myself apart. No matter... IT'S TIME FOR THE BOTH OF YOU TO DIE! | „ |
— Myos, after transforming into his new form, Rhabdomyos. |
Despite the destruction, a single cell had survived, and began regenerating the entirety of Myos's body by using the remaining energy of the Germanium Maelstrom. In doing so, he gained access to a second transformation, remodelling his body into a new form named Rhabdomyos. His dorsal fins extended all the way up his neck, and three new sets of jaws opened up - two on his knees, and one at the end of his tail. There he stood, trembling due to the incredible amount of energy coursing through his body.
As the battle continued, WeegeeZilla was eventually able to transform into a new Absorption Inheritance form, Myos-WZ, by harnessing some of Myos's DNA, which he had inadvertently injected into WeegeeZilla's body when he bit him in the arm as WZ-Myos earlier in the fight. Using a new set of powers, WeegeeZilla began to rapidly overpower Myos, taking advantage of the overburdened state he had placed him in from constantly having to regenerate.

Myos begs for mercy as his body is destroyed by Myos-WZ's Inferno Hand.
Eventually, WeegeeZilla managed to punch Myos in the arm, breaking his skin and introducing a mixture of corrosive chemicals and enzymes into his body, dubbed the Inferno Hand. These chemicals and enzymes began to rapidly liquefy Myos's flesh, and the mutant pathogen was soon begging WeegeeZilla for mercy as his body was rapidly dissolved. However, this only enraged the scientist, who refused to grant Myos any relief from the corrosion that was rapidly killing him. Eventually, Myos was reduced to just the head on his tail, and attempted to taunt WeegeeZilla one more time, though the scientist was unfazed, and crushed Myos underfoot, finally killing him.
Council of Creators[]
Myos was first referenced in Council of Creators Episode 20, meaning that he must have been created by Sepsis prior to this event.
Myos later appeared in the following episode, where he mounted an ambush against the Council of Creators at their base. After a long battle against the combined efforts of Nerd, Scoobs, Cdr and later Koopa, Myos was ultimately brutally wounded and burnt to death as the result of a lit match thrown by Koopa igniting the vapours of alcohol from the destroyed bar.
Abilities[]

Myos's weakest form, an imitation of Koopa. This form was used to deceive its real counterpart and make him lower his guard. This form features several weaker versions of Myos's normal powers.
Abilities[]
- Calcium Buster (カルシウムバスター Karushiumu Basutā?): A copy of WeegeeZilla's Magnesium Blaster beam, WZ-Myos can fire a concentrated orange beam of ionised calcium at an extremely high temperature. This attack is a weaker version of Myos's Standard form's Calcium Onslaught.
- Mimic Stance (模倣姿勢 Mohō Shisei?): In this form, Myos gains a greater level of perception of his opponent's fighting style, and will take on a stance that closely mimics it. This extends to allowing Myos to imitate several of his opponent's physical techniques.
- Flesh-Rending Gaze (肉裂きの視線 Niku Saki no Shisen?): By converting his decoy eyes back into his upper jaw, WZ-Myos can deliver an incredibly vicious bite should an opponent attempt to strike him on or near his head.
- Malevolent Metamorphosis (悪意の変身 Akui no Henshin?): Myos can transform from his WZ-Myos form to his Standard form at will. The first signs of this process taking place is the emergence of Myos's shoulder tendrils, as well as the fact that both of Myos's jaws become permanently visible.
- Regenerative Bloodstorm (再生ブラッドストーム Saisei Buraddosutōmu?): Should Myos's WZ-Myos form be critically damaged or destroyed while undergoing Malevolent Metamorphosis, Myos can reduce his entire body to a cloud of myoglobin-rich blood to complete his transformation into his Standard form at a faster speed.
- Repulsive Force (反発力 Hanpatsu-ryoku?): During the process of transforming into his standard form via Regenerative Bloodstorm, the cloud of blood that was once Myos's WZ-Myos form gradually coalesces into a shadow-like version of his standard form. In this state, Myos gives off an immense amount of energy that can overwhelm opponents. Finally, as Myos finishes transforming, his body emits a powerful pulse of energy which repels any living things in the vicinity, forcing them backwards, if not sweeping them off their feet entirely.

Myos's standard form.
Abilities[]
- Calcium Onslaught (カルシウムの猛攻 Karushiumu no Mōkō?): A copy of WeegeeZilla's Magnesium Blaster Beam. Myos can fire a red-hot orange beam of ionised calcium at the opponent, inflicting serious burns on contact with their body.
- Twin Jaw Beam (ツインジョー光線 Tsuinjō Kōsen?): Myos can fire an enhanced version of his Calcium Onslaught from both jaws at once, which combine into a single beam prior to impacting the target. With this, Myos can ignite opponents or cause severe injuries that cut right through the opponent's muscular tissue.
- Paralytic Impulse (麻痺衝動 Mahi Shōdō?): Myos can produce an extremely powerful outburst of electrical energy from his body. On contact with an opponent, this impulse interferes with the processes carried out by calcium in the opponent's muscles, causing it to build up in the bloodstream and neuromuscular junctions. This leads to rapid-onset rigidity of the opponent's muscles - giving Myos an ideal opening to attack - and if prolonged, can negatively impact their heart.

Myos's final form, created when he was reduced to a single cell by Germanium's Germanium Maelstrom. This form is Myos's strongest yet, but is also highly unstable.
Abilities[]
- Dual Mandibular Cannon (二重下顎キャノン Ni-jū Kagaku Kyanon?): An enhanced version of Myos's Twin Jaw Beam. Compared to the Twin Jaw Beam, the Dual Mandibular Cannon is four orders of magnitude stronger.
- Vertebral Ray (椎骨光線 Tsuikotsu Kōsen?): A variation of Myos's Calcium Onslaught specialised for close-quarters combat. Chanelling energy through his spinal column, Rhabdomyos fires a red hot beam of ionised calcium from the jaws on the end of his tail at the target. As the energy is concentrated within a smaller area, it has a similar power level to Myos's Twin-Jaw Beam. However, it is unable to 'punch through' the target, instead having a significantly more powerful pushing effect when it strikes things. This beam is also extremely hot, and can ignite small areas of the target on contact with them.
- Unrelenting Regeneration (容赦ない再生 Yōshanai Saisei?): Due to this form's instability, Rhabdomyos is forced to constantly regenerate damage to his body on a microscopic scale, manifesting as improved regeneration. However, it is possible for an opponent to overwhelm this process with stronger attacks, preventing Rhabdomyos from repairing more substantial damage.
- Consciousness Transference (意識の転移 Ishiki no Ten'i?): Should Rhabdomyos's main head be destroyed, he can transfer his consciousness into the vestigial brain of the head on the end of his tail.
Weaknesses[]
As Rhabdomyos, Myos's body is extremely unstable due to the burden his Unrelenting Regeneration places on it, demonstrated by him trembling and bleeding on a frequent basis. If an opponent is able to inflict enough damage, Myos's overburdened body will begin to rapidly fail, creating a domino effect that will end in his destruction and subsequent death.Development[]
As with Organon, Myos went through several iterations before the final design was produced. Originally a red recolour of MosuGoji, the Godzilla design used in Mothra vs. Godzilla and Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, albeit with a long neck, Myos's design was slightly modified in 2016 to have short bony spikes coming out of his neck. Both of these designs were lost during the hard drive crash of 2016 that also destroyed Organon's original design.
A recreation of the original design can be found at the Proto-Myos page.

Trivia[]
- Myos has already gone through a total of three redesigns, with his current design being the third.
- In his debut appearance in Dawn of Sepsis #4, Myos's subtitle is erroneously written as Muskuloskeletal Beast (筋骨格系獣 Suji kokkaku-kei-jū?) instead of Cutaneous Demon Beast, his actual subtitle.
