Koopa (referred to as WeegeeZilla in the deviantART releases of Periodic Genesis: Dawn of Sepsis) is KoopaGalaxain's sprite character, used to represent himself in works such as Dawn of Sepsis and Council of Creators. A highly intelligent scientist from Universe 1996, Koopa managed to transform himself into the sprite creations he experimented on through a great deal of effort. He is a member of the Council of Creators, serving as the team's scientist.
Appearance[]
Base State[]
As a living sprite, Koopa resembles Godzilla, but with blue skin with grey countershading. He also has piercing green eyes, grey fangs and cyan claws and dorsal fins. This form is referred to as Koopa's Base State. In the early parts of Periodic Genesis: Dawn of Sepsis, Koopa's Base State had a set of cyan spikes on his knees, though these disappeared after he reverted back to this form at the climax of the fight against Keratos.
Most notable is his red gem in his lower abdomen - This allows him to use his Absorption Inheritance Technique. When this technique is active, a set of cyan energy tendrils erupt from the gem to take on the opponent's characteristics.
Absorption Inheritance forms[]
In Koopa's Keratos-WZ form, his appearance changes substantially. His countershading, claws and teeth change colour to a pale golden yellow, close in colour to the blades and horns of Keratos's Standard Form, while his skin changes colour to a charcoal grey reminiscent of Godzilla's standard colours. Koopa's eyes and abdomen gem change colour from green and red to a bright orange. He also gains Keratos's pauldrons, and the spikes on his knees disappear, with this latter change being permanent, as his spikes remained absent after he turned back to normal.
Koopa's Myos-WZ form closely resembles Myos's WZ-Myos form, being bright red with pale yellow-gold countershading, but lacks WZ-Myos's mangled teeth, and the arrangement of the lines crossing his countershading more closely resembles that of his Keratos-WZ form. In this form, Koopa's abdomen gem changes colour to bright green, while his eyes turn a pale greyish white.
History[]
Periodic Genesis: Dawn of Sepsis[]
Interim Saga[]
One day, WeegeeZilla was working on his newest sprite creations when he lacked the motivation to continue with their current designs. When he was preparing to store them away, one of the failed creations gained incredible power before completely decimating the city as it escaped, nothing more than a large cell at that time. This cell eventually developed into Sepsis.
Keratos Saga[]
Awakening in the ruins of the city, WeegeeZilla was set upon by one of Sepsis's goons named Keratos, who tore out his abdomen gem. Slowly dying, WeegeeZilla could only watch as Germanium II arrived. The newcomer tried his best, but unfortunately suffered a painful defeat at the hands of the scythed monster.
After this, WeegeeZilla gained new strength, and used his Abdomen Gem to unleash Absorption Inheritance on Keratos, assuming the enemy's characteristics. With newfound strength, WeegeeZilla stared down the foe. Keratos, terrified by the fact that his opponent had the means to get to his level of strength, unleashed his own even stronger form, transforming into Scalpel Keratos, and the fight resumed.
Scalpel Keratos immediately regained the upper hand, brutally slashing at WeegeeZilla and Germanium II, then fired his Keratinizer Beam at Koopa's right forearm, turning it into a lifeless husk of pure keratin. Though WeegeeZilla began to despair, he refused to give up, and, improvising a new technique on the spot, shattered his forearm to create the Keratin Storm, which mortally wounded Keratos after bursting open his body in several places.
Though Keratos was blinded and near death, he still stood, having risen to attempt to continue the fight while the two heroes were caught off-guard, having believed Keratos to already be dead. However, before he could react, WeegeeZilla used his Energy Tendril Blades to impale Keratos through his shoulders, holding him in place. With no more time left, Keratos died, exploding violently.
Myos Saga[]
“ | Say your prayers, because you're already dead. | „ |
— Koopa, to Rhabdomyos after using the Inferno Hand ability |
For several weeks, WeegeeZilla spent time trying to decipher the secrets of Absorption Inheritance in an area of the world which had yet to be attacked by Sepsis and his subordinates, but eventually set off, knowing that Myos would surely be after him. Arriving near the site of his battle with Keratos, he came face to face with a mysterious red doppelganger of himself. When WeegeeZilla attempted to communicate with the sinister double, it began to fight him, and a battle ensued. When the duplicate suddenly revealed that its eyes were actually a second set of jaws and used them to bite the scientist's arm, the truth was revealed - it was Myos - in his WZ-Myos form - after all! Using a fragment of Keratos's DNA that had been recombined into his own, WeegeeZilla used his Super Scalpel Beam to blow off WZ-Myos's head, seemingly ending the battle, but the body stood back up and transformed into Myos's standard form.
Despite WeegeeZilla's best efforts, Myos got the better of him, tricking the scientist into charging so that he could use his Paralytic Impulse to stop him in his tracks. With WeegeeZilla trapped in place, Myos then used his Twin Jaw Beam to shoot straight through his body, inflicting serious damage.
In horrific pain, Koopa could only stare at Myos. His strength briefly returned, allowing him to punch the mutant pathogen, but this only resulted in him being knocked down. However, Germanium II arrived and distracted Myos for long enough for Koopa to get to his feet, and the battle resumed! Together, the duo used the Magnificent Mighty Strike to stagger Myos, then Germanium II's body and Germanium's spirit combined into the Ancestral Amalgamation form, allowing Germanium to destroy Myos's body using the Germanium Maelstrom.
Council of Creators[]
In this series, Koopa is a central member of the Council of Creators, first appearing in the pilot episode, in which he was found by the other members of the group battling Keratos. After helping the Creators fight the mutant Pathogen, he joined the team as the dedicated scientist, replacing FlurrTheGamerMixel who had gone mad and had turned against the heroes.
Abilities[]
Koopa's standard form, and the form he most commonly appears in. This form's power and abilities are balanced evenly.
Abilities[]
As a living sprite, Koopa shares abilities in common with Godzilla. He does however have a set of special techniques:
- Standard Abilities
- Magnesium Blaster (マグネシウム・ブラスター Maguneshiumu Burasutā?): A greyish-white variant of Godzilla's Atomic Breath, this is Koopa's standard beam attack when not in any Absorption Inheritance-induced form.
- Absorption Inheritance (吸収継承 Kyūshū Keishō?): By unleashing a set of Energy Tendrils from his Abdomen Gem, Koopa can gain the abilities and partial appearance of his foes. Each Absorption Inheritance form has its own name; Keratos-WZ, Myos-WZ and Organon-WZ.
- Absorption Redirection (吸収リダイレクト Kyūshū Ridairekuto?): Seen exclusively in Council of Creators. Koopa can use his Energy Tendrils to temporarily contain energy-based attacks before firing them back at the opponent. Used to defeat Keratos in the Pilot Episode.
- Energy Tendril Blade (エナジー テンドリル ブレード Enajī Tendoriru Burēdo?): Introduced in Council of Creators. Koopa can use his Energy Tendrils as incredibly sharp 'blades' to slice through opponents. Used to slice into Sepsizilla in The Mystery of the Unusual Duplicate!, and later used to restrain Scalpel Keratos in Periodic Genesis: Dawn of Sepsis #19.
- Recombinant DNA Techniques
As a side-effect of the way Absorption Inheritance works, Koopa can gain access to special variants of his opponents' attacks after using Absorption Inheritance on them at least once, with these attacks manifesting in his Base State form's set of techniques.
- Super Scalpel Beam (スーパーメス熱線 Sūpā Mesu Nessen?): An enhanced version of Keratos's standard Scalpel Beam. It is superior in power to Keratos's Scalpel Beam, though not as strong as his Scalpel Form's Enhanced Scalpel Beam, serving as an intermediate in power between the two. This beam was powerful enough to blow WZ-Myos's head clean off his shoulders.
- Combination Techniques
- Magnificent Mighty Strike (壮大なマイティストライク Sōdaina Maiti Sutoraiku?): A combination attack with Germanium II, used against Myos. Accelerating to an incredible speed, WeegeeZilla and Germanium II rush towards the target and strike them simultaneously with all their might.
Weaknesses[]
Koopa's Absorption Inheritance is extremely powerful, but it is not infallible; stronger opponents may be able to partially or fully resist having their abilities copied, granting less strength to Koopa as a result. In addition, being under the effects of Absorption Inheritance for a prolonged period of time will result in the copied abilities weakening; eventually, they will disappear entirely, along with any appearance changes accompanying them.

The first of Koopa's Absorption Inheritance forms, obtained by using Absorption Inheritance on Keratos. This form is angled towards durability and brute force.
Abilities[]
- Magnesium Overdrive (マグネシウムオーバードライブ Maguneshiumu Ōbādoraibu?): An enhanced version of Koopa's Magnesium Blaster ray, about four times as powerful as its standard counterpart.
- Herculean Endurance (剛力の耐久性 Gōriki no Taikyū-sei?): By duplicating Keratos's abilities, Koopa gains access to Keratos's durable armour, enabling him to shrug off Keratos's Scalpel Beam with ease. He is also able to resist damage from Keratos's Keratos Blades, and even when Keratos assumed his scalpel form, his Enhanced Keratos Blades appeared to do less damage than they should have done against his armoured skin, though the damage inflicted was still enough to slice into his underbelly.
- Keratin Regeneration (ケラチンの再生 Kerachin no Saisei?): As a side effect of this form's creation, Koopa's cells have become able to produce large quantities of a refined form of the protein Keratin. The cells use this protein as a structural reinforcement material to pull together damaged tissues, causing them to undergo repair and regeneration at a heightened rate.
- Kerato-Kinesis (ケラトキネシス Keratokineshisu?): First demonstrated during Koopa's battle against Myos's Rhabdomyos form, Koopa is able to manufacture Keratin by absorbing atmospheric sulfur and nitrogen, then using it in a multi-stage process to manufacture the protein, first by forming the raw amino acids, then polymerising the chemicals using his cells' ribosomes.
- Synthetic Keratos Blade (合成ケラトスブレイド Gōsei Keratosu Bureido?): Using Kerato-Kinesis, Koopa can create a copy of one of Keratos's standard form's Keratos Blades, identical in sharpness to the original.
- Cutaneous Secret Technique: Keratin Storm (皮膚の奥義・ケラチンストーム Hifu no Ōgi: Kerachinsutōmu?): After having his arm keratinized by Scalpel Keratos's Keratinizer Beam, Koopa was able to develop this improvised technique. By shattering the affected limb, Koopa can fire the resultant shards off at high speed, striking the opponent with a hail of razor-sharp pieces of Keratin. If any of the shards enter an opponent's body, they repeatedly rip away at their flesh, eventually tearing apart the opponent's organs from the inside out.
The second of Koopa's Absorption Inheritance forms. This form was created when DNA from Myos's WZ-Myos form was assimilated by Koopa's cells after Myos bit him in the arm, with Myos's attacks and Koopa shifting into his Keratos-WZ form giving his cells sufficient energy to construct the new form. It is optimised towards sheer speed and unexpectedly-powerful physical attacks.
Despite bearing a close resemblance to WZ-Myos, this form's strength is comparable to Myos's standard form. Thus, this form can be described as a combination of WZ-Myos's unassuming appearance with Myos's raw power and speed.
Abilities[]
- Physical
- Kiloton Backhand (キロトンバックハンド Kiroton Bakkuhando?): Koopa runs towards his opponent, and as he passes them, he delivers a deceptively powerful backhand strike.
- Blistering Strike (猛烈なストライク Mōretsuna Sutoraiku?): A straight punch of high power, often used by Koopa to commence his Myosin Barrage technique.
- Myosin Barrage (ミオシン弾幕 Mioshin Danmaku?): A series of heavy punches delivered to the opponent's body of medium-to-high power, capable of staggering or winding them.
- Inferno Hand (業火の手 Gōka no Te?): Using the lysosomes in his cells, Koopa can produce a mixture of potent digestive enzymes and corrosive chemicals from the palms of his hands which begin to dissolve the opponent's flesh on contact in a matter of seconds. These enzymes and chemicals can be released onto the opponent at any time, and thus this technique often occurs as a side effect of Koopa's physical attacks.
- Wrathful Thunder (怒りの雷鳴 Ikari no Raimei?): A finishing stomp, capable of inflicting tremendous damage on downed opponents.
- Special
- Calcium Hurricane (カルシウムハリケーン Karushiumu Harikēn?):
