Being recruited by Death T-Rex[]
While looking through the Interdimensional Monster Graveyard, Death T-Rex came across Ghost Varan. He noticed that the deseaced Kaiju was full of anger and a lust for vengeance, and thought he would be the perfect recruit. Death T-Rex promised Varan that if he helped him, Death T-Rex would return Varan to his home universe to get his vengeance on the Shadow Creatures. Varan agreed.
A T-Rex Halloween[]
Ghost Varan, along with Death T-Rex's other minions was teleported to the graveyard to do battle with T-Rex and his allies. Ghost Varan did quite well in the battle, and did not question his orders, that is, until to familiar beings joined the battle. The Godzilla and Varan of this universe. Ghost Varan could not fight Godzilla, so allowed his ally, Shin Ghost Godzilla to do it for him. Ghost Varan took another look at this alternate version of himself. At first, he considered helping the creature, as they were the same being. But then, he remembered what Death T-Rex had promised him, and started to feel anger, Jealousy for his alternate universe counterpart. How could this...pretender..be allowed to live when he had sacrificed himself for a cause he did not even believe in. With this anger now fueling, most certainly a result of Death T-Rex's control, Ghost Varan attacked normal Varan. The two fought for a while, until the Universe 986 Varan's spirit left his body, turning the tide of the battle. With this strange ability, Universe 986 Varan was able to expel Ghost Varan, defeating him. However, it is possible that Ghost Varan is still there in the Interdimensional Monster Graveyard, waiting for the next opportunity to present itself.
