The Alien Torrent are a race of aliens capable of merging with other life forms, native to Planet Torrent, an exoplanet orbiting a star in the galaxy NGC 3982. The Alien Torrent were created by KoopaGalaxain.
Appearance[]
While all the different classes of Torrent look different to each other, there are a set of common features which unite them; all Torrent are near-black coloured humanoids with diamond shaped heads. Their eyes are bright red with yellow diamond-shaped irises. All torrents also appear to have tufts on their bodies that resemble moving water - this is what gave the species its name.
Torrent Envoys serve as messengers and ambassadors on Planet Torrent. They are probably the most heavily derived of all the Torrent Classes, featuring numerous elements of their body plans which are entirely unique to them. They are shorter than all the other classes of Torrent, with the exception of Overseers, and they only possess one giant eye. The pupil on their eye is also visible, something unique to their class. Instead of hands, Torrent Envoys possess bio-metallic blades; these blades are believed to have a structure that combines proteins with the metallic element Vanadium. Like the King, Torrent Envoys have wings, though they are shorter, and they only possess two of them, as opposed to the King's four wings.
Drone Torrents resemble Soldiers, but are of slighter physique, bearing hunched backs. This class is less suited for fighting than the Soldiers, and spends most of its time within the labyrinthine tunnels of the race's hive-like cities.
Scientist Torrents are a sub-class of Soldiers, and are closely related to them, having a less muscular build. They are also slightly shorter than the soldiers.
Assimilated humans that have been turned into Torrents retain the clothing they wore before being assimilation, although they can replace their clothing at any time and change their outfit. On occasion, the dimensions of a Torrent that assimilates a human may be driven drastically out of proportion in the immediate aftermath of the assimilation, mainly in the case of the extremities such as the limbs and neck. This results in them being grossly out of proportion for a short amount of time, with their proportions returning to normal over a period of weeks. This does not appear to harm the Torrent affected, and appears to be painless in the vast majority of cases.

Torrents and Andromedans[]
Planet Torrent, the home of all Alien Torrents, was targeted for invasion by the Andromedan Empire, led by Emperor Kafaros. In order to weaken Planet Torrent's people, the Andromedans launched a cruel plan to eliminate the Torrent King and Queen, which would leave the race without any guidance and unable to mount an effective defence when the Andromedans would commence their invasion.
With the Queen assassinated by Andromedan raiders, a lone Torrent Envoy by the name of Machiavelli was sent to Earth to seek assistance from the Torrent Overseer who had journeyed there. However, upon arrival in Ustin, he was pursued by an Andromedan soldier who had followed him to Earth, as this planet was also targeted by the Andromedans after their attempt to steal the Sun's power was thwarted by the Council of Creators. After brutally wounding the Andromedan with his Vanadium Scimitars, Machiavelli fled in fear, and ran aimlessly about the city until he met Hokuto Black King, who brought him to the Creators' bar so he could seek their guidance.
Eventually, Hokuto Black King, Machiavelli, Koopa and BRK, along with Alien Geometros Ganymede, the official embroiderer to the Torrent Crown, managed to locate the Overseer - who went by the nickname Merlin - and his assistants, another group of Torrents who had travelled to Earth. After Machiavelli informed Merlin of the situation on Planet Torrent, the Andromedans revealed their trump card, Fake Sepsis, who had been forced under their control. Together, the group were able to free Fake Sepsis from the mind control of the Andromedans, stopping the latest attempt of the Andromedans to subjugate Earth. However, the plan to invade Planet Torrent was still in motion.
Abilities[]
Soldier[]
- Assimilation: Using their ability to turn amorphous, Soldier Torrents can merge with other humanoid beings as both an offensive and defensive techniques. The body of the assimilated is completely merged with that of the Soldier, leaving almost no trace behind.
- Fisticuff Fighting (殴り合いの戦い Naguriai no Tatakai?): Soldier Torrents are adept at hand-to-hand combat, using their powerful and muscular arms to great effect when punching opponents.
Envoy[]
- Vanadium Scimitars (バナジウム・シミター Banajiumu Shimitā?): Torrent Envoys possess two wickedly-sharp vanadium blades on their arms instead of hands, which can be used to slice, stab and cut opponents.
- Mizunium Ray (ミズニウム光線 Mizuniumu Kōsen?): A beam attack similar to that of the King's Torrential Beam, Torrent Envoys can fire an extremely powerful red energy ray from their eye, capable of inflicting massive damage to opponents.
- Flight: Torrent Envoys are equipped with two diamond-shaped wings, with which they can use to fly through the air at moderate speeds.
Drone[]
- Heavy Lifting: Being better suited for manual labour, Drone Torrents are capable of lifting objects up to 3 times their weight.
- Swarm Attack (群れの攻撃 Mure no Kogeki?): If the situation calls for it, Drone Torrents can be summoned by soldiers to act as an impromptu fighting force. Once given the order to attack, hundreds of the Drone Torrents will swarm the target, attempting to overwhelm it with grabs, punches and kicks.

- Torrential Beam (トレントビーム Torento Bīmu?): The Torrent King can fire a powerful, bright red beam from his eyes, as well as the eyespots on his wings and tail tips.
- King's Blessing (王の祝福 Ō no Shukufuku?): The Torrent King can impart great amounts of energy upon those he deems worthy, increasing their strength by a substantial level.
Trivia[]
- The Torrent race are based on eusocial species of insects on Earth, such as ants, bees and termites.
- When designing the Torrent, I initially only drew the Soldier and Human-Assimilated Soldier classes; over time, I used the basic design of the Soldier to create the other classes of Torrent.
